What’s inside

Five ingredients, explained

What each ingredient is, where it comes from, and what tradition and research say about it. This is general information about the ingredients themselves, not a claim about The Potent.

  1. 01

    Shilajit

    Origin
A dark, resinous substance that seeps from rock in high mountain ranges such as the Himalayas, formed over centuries from compressed plant matter.
    Tradition
Valued in Ayurveda as a rasayana, a rejuvenating tonic taken for vitality and stamina.
    Research
Contains fulvic acid and trace minerals. Research into its effects is still early and limited, and quality depends on how it is sourced and purified.
  2. 02

    Saffron

    Origin
The hand-picked stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower. Kashmir is one of India’s best-known saffron regions.
    Tradition
Prized for centuries in Kashmiri and Ayurvedic tradition as a precious tonic spice.
    Research
Rich in plant compounds such as crocin and safranal. Some studies suggest a positive effect on mood, though more research is needed.
  3. 03

    Acacia honey

    Origin
Made by bees from acacia blossoms. It is pale, light and mild, and slow to crystallise.
    Tradition
Honey has been used as a food and a soothing ingredient in nearly every food culture.
    Research
A natural source of carbohydrates for quick energy, with small amounts of plant antioxidants. Like all honey it is still a sugar, best enjoyed in moderation.
  4. 04

    Lemon

    Origin
The juice of the citrus fruit Citrus limon, grown in warm regions around the world.
    Tradition
Used in kitchens and home remedies across India and beyond to brighten flavour and refresh.
    Research
A well-known source of vitamin C, which the body needs for normal immune function and collagen formation, along with plant flavonoids.
  5. 05

    Ginger

    Origin
The underground stem (rhizome) of Zingiber officinale, grown across tropical Asia.
    Tradition
Used in Ayurveda and everyday cooking for centuries to warm the body and settle the stomach.
    Research
Contains gingerols and shogaols. Studies suggest it may help ease nausea and support digestion, though results vary from person to person.

From the Founder

The night the cans stopped working.

Abdul Baree

Founder, The Zorawar Company

There was a time I measured my days in silver and blue aluminium.

One can to start the morning. Another to survive the afternoon. A third for the long drive home, when the road blurred and ambition kept whispering just a little more. I told myself it was discipline. It was only borrowed energy, and borrowed things always come with interest.

The interest arrived quietly, in the form of a doctor’s long pause over my reports. My liver had been carrying the weight of every shortcut I’d taken. Sitting in that white room, I realised I had been fuelling my life like a man who never expected to live in it for long.

So I went looking for something older than the habit. Older than the cans, the labels, the shouting billboards. My search led north, to the Himalayas, where the mountains have been slowly pressing their strength into stone for thousands of years, and where shilajit, patient and dark as midnight, seeps out of the rock.

Warriors once carried it for the road ahead. I paired it with saffron, acacia honey, lemon and ginger, and began to build a morning that didn’t need to be paid back.

Zorawar is the ritual I wish someone had handed me ten years ago. Rare in origin. Refined in craft. And made for anyone who wants their strength to be their own.

What exactly is The Potent?

A shilajit elixir blended with saffron, acacia honey, lemon and ginger. Think of it as a morning ritual in a bottle: warm, earthy, a little golden, and nothing like an energy drink.
